Burial of the dead

Description

"What are the roots that clutch, what branches grow
Out of this stony rubbish? Son of man,
You cannot say, or guess, for you know only
A heap of broken images, where the sun beats,
And the dead tree gives no shelter, the cricket no relief,
And the dry stone no sound of water. Only
There is shadow under this red rock,
(Come in under the shadow of this red rock),
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust."
(T.S. Eliot)

I'm so use to seeing the light, fluffy, elegant flower shot. Well, I am very happy to see this come up on my news feed.
Those flowers are elegant and beautiful in a dark, gothic type of way. It reminds me of a photomanipulation almost. You don't see plants like this every day.
Their sharp, dark stems and leaves give me chills. The purple flower itself leaves me hypnotized. The greys and purples compliment each other quite well. I enjoy the fact that the rose is a different shade, than the rest.
My favorite flower out of these is probably the one on the far right. I enjoy how it is slightly peeping it's self to view from behind the rose.
The level of quality in my opinion is excellent. I am thrilled that you were able to capture the fuzzies that were drifting away from each stem.
